From 11 June to 10 September 2023, the 4th Kyllburg Art Route will take place in the “Hahn” town park.
For an entire summer, art and nature lovers can walk the 3 km long, free walking route. More than 30 works of art await you along the route. Each work of art is signposted with basic information and a QR code that leads to further online information. The route brochure is available on site or can be downloaded as a PDF file from the website. Unfortunately, the route is not barrier-free.
The Kyllburg Art Route is a project inspired by “Land Art” that brings art and landscape into harmony. The theme for the 2023 Art Route was set by the Kultursommer Rheinland-Pfalz: “Compass Europe: Westwards”. We have pointed our Celtic compass westwards and interpreted the theme as “fullness”.
The following artists have applied this year and present 10 new artworks:
- Lucia Keidel
- Dorothée Bores
- Mattanja Coehoorn
- Dagmar Engels
- Ben Hirtz
- Ursel Hirtz
- Christine Nicolai
- Marie Senftleben Gudrich
- Rüdiger Steiner
- Hedi Schon
As part of this year’s route, several exhibitions of collections can be seen in the shop windows of the small town. Citizens from Kyllburg and the surrounding area show their collections, from ducks to chimney plates and from brachiopods to laser discs. The exhibitions change according to the collections offered by enthusiastic Kyllburg citizens.
In summer, not only guided tours are offered, but also various events. Detailed and up-to-date information can be found on the website kunstroute-kyllburg.de. There you will also find our bank details, because the organising Kyllburg Verein(t) is always happy to receive donations so that the art route can continue in the years to come.
The Art Route is only possible through the voluntary commitment of many people and the support of local businesses, funds and authorities.
