Jan Sajdak was born in Warsaw in 1987 and studied ethnology and cultural anthropology at the University of Warsaw. He then studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Jan works with many materials, practicing sculpture, drawing and printmaking. However, in recent years he has specialized more and more in land art and art in close relationship with nature. His ethnological interest led him to learn traditional weaving techniques and use them in his sculptures.
In 2019, he created the waterfowl in the Kyll River. It was probably the most photographed place in Kyllburg at that time.
